Mohammed Oruvampurath is an Associate Consultant with The Neoteric Group and he is the Clinical Manager at University Health Network managing emergency psychiatry, the Assertive Community Treatment team and the Urgent Care Clinic.   He also works as a front-line nurse in psychiatry at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Mohammed has a strong understanding of the different complexities that mental health patients and clients face.  In addition to his experience in academic centres and community hospitals he also has extensive experience working in forensics where he worked in forensics at Waypoint and the Forensic Assessment Unit at St. Joseph’s Healthcare.  His experience is unique in that it comes from both the forensic area and the acute care system; where the patients we look after intersect.  This provides a strong perspective of what the community needs are and the strategies to improve partnerships.
